Love it!
This was a game changer for me in terms of relaxation methods. Coupled with Calm (the app), this is an A+. The way I can describe how it feels: at first it feels painful, but if you stick with it, you feel a tingling sensation to the point all your focus and attention is where your skin presses against the spikes. This is interesting because your attention is shifted from all stressors and distractions of the day-to-day and you’re in an instant state of relaxation. I’ll definitely continue using this product and will report back a month into it.

There are a hundred different versions of these things here and all over the web now. It’s not complicated, just a piece of covered foam, buttoned in plastic spikes, and a logo that seems interchangable. We bought the Gaiam brand to hopefully get a better quality product when sifting through all the various permutations of these, but I don’t think it made a bit of difference.Mat works as intended. Harsh to use the first few times, but I did fall asleep on it one night. It was uncomfortable to roll off of on the bed when I did wake up, but it does actually relax you after time and provide some “loud” comfort.

I’ve tried to get used to this. It’s difficult to ease yourself onto the mat without pain. I tried using it on the bed, on a bench, on the floor. I tried it with clothes on and off and with a pillowcase around it. Ultimately I’ve decided this mat is not for me and have passed it along to someone else. However, I am keeping the pillow as that does seem to help my neck and shoulders.

I’m 75 years old.My husband and I Iive on our boat in P.R.I have mild scoliosis and sciactic pain. This mat has made a huge difference for me. I’ve practice yoga for years this mat is great addition to my well being. I looked for Gaiam products because I love their yoga mats. Thats when I found the mat. Took a bit of getting use to. But I love it now. And the price made it easy to try out.

Came opened, no packing slip, plastic wrap was also opened. It’s unsanitary to use it .The quality is so-so. Go get “Spoonk” brand instead.Wanted to return, but had to pay return shipping. Better to buy from Amazon not from this seller.
