More than a kitchen scale, and worth every cent!
I just got this, but I’m finding the TRUDIN NASA-Grade 33lb Digital Kitchen Scale to be one of my most reliable and handy kitchen (and beyond) tools.The stainless steel platform makes it easy to clean, even after messy baking sessions or accidental spills. It handles up to 33 lbs (15kg), which is plenty for any kitchen, and more! The whole unit seems to be made of premium quality materials, which I appreciate, especially at this price!Accuracy is spot-on and the tare function works flawlessly—just place a bowl or container, hit tare, and add ingredients for net weight without any mental math. The five unit options (g, kg, lb:oz, oz, ml) switch instantly, which is super convenient.I particularly appreciate the rechargeable battery via USB, with AAA backups included (Make sure you take the Styrofoam out of the box, the batteries are tucked in there. I didn’t notice at first since I just slipped the scale and directions out of the box) The LCD display is super clear in any light condition.Beyond typical kitchen tasks, I use this scale for weighing coins when checking precious metal content (gold/silver bullion or collectibles). The 1g precision is sufficient for most coin weighing needs, as it reliably detects small differences in weight. I’ve also found it incredibly handy for weighing packages to calculate postal shipping costs— the high capacity means I can handle medium-sized boxes without issue.No major complaints here: it’s responsive, stable on the counter, always ready for use and IMO, an honest to goodness steal at around $20! Accurate, large, and bomb-proof. Daily bakers will rely on this scale for years and years to come.
I’ve owned this kitchen scale for 4 years. It has been used and abused continuously through 3000 starter feedings, 300 sourdough loaves, a couple hundred dinner rolls, etc. It’s large–I can put a Kitchen Aide mixer bowl and still see the screen. Intervals of 1 gram, up to 6 Kg are accurate. It gets wet, gooey, flour coated, banged around and still works fine. I looked here to see if it’s still sold, just in case I need a new scale. I’ll certainly choose this one.

It works for a home kitchen
I can’t check accuracy, but it does repeat, so it works. As a former machinist, I can say the sales pitch on the metal is just that. It is pretty thin stamped steel. That said, for the price the scale works. I can’t yet say if it will last, but for occasional use if the electronics hold up you can’t beat it for the price. It is small, so I found it cumbersome for larger cuts of meat. Easy to use and very easy to store.

Versatile, easy to use, high capacity
I’ve had this balance for a couple of years now and am very pleased with it. It has a low profile and a sleek top surface which makes it easy to wipe down. The controls are easy to use and the display easy to read. I like that it toggles between metric and bananapants measurement systems. I use it primarily for baking, and the higher load capacity makes it great for making large batches of bread and other recipes with several kilos of ingredients all together. It has really streamlined my bread making over the volume process measuring out 16 cups of flour.I also use it for weighing packages for calculating shipping costs. Occasionally it is on the small side for measuring packages, and I have to get creative to position the box so I can still read the display. Given that it is designed for kitchen use, this isn’t a design error, just me using it for more use cases than it probably should be. Again, the higher weight limit really increases its versatility.

Works great, but note that it does NOT have an option for just Pounds
So far this is working great, and I love that I can charge the battery rather than replace batteries, and yet it will also take AAA batteries.What I didn’t realize is that there is no option for just Pounds – I am used to looking for things like 1.3 pounds, the way your meat will display at the store. This one does it as Pounds and Ounces, so instead of 1.3 pounds, it will show 1 pound and 4.8 ounces.I’m not taking off a star for this, since maybe I could have figured this out ahead of time, and the scale works great. I am just disappointed about this limitation, and wanted to leave a comment so others would also know before they buy. Not a huge deal, but I’ve had to use a conversion on my computer to find out what the ounces are to get the right amount.

Perfect size. Easy to keep clean. I bought it for weighing my crochet for mailing. I love the reset weight button. I love the choice of weight measurements. So easy to use. Very functional. The light is perfect brightness. Looks great anywhere. Great value for money, I bought another for my son for his kitchen.

I had to replace a scale similar to this one that I have had for over 30 years. This is a more modern version. Sleek, easy to use, is for both kilos/grams and pounds/ounces. I store it in the original box as I did with the old one. It is very sensitive to weight so that it is totally accurate. No need to guess. Would highly recommend this product.
