Not operable
I typically refrain from writing negative reports, but I feel compelled to express my disappointment for the second time. A few years back, I purchased a device that stopped functioning within just three months. I returned it to the manufacturer on two separate occasions, but unfortunately, it remained non-operational both times. Frustrated, I ultimately decided to give up and kept the broken device. Fast forward three years, I hoped that the quality of the products had improved, so I ordered a new device, which I received today. I’m extremely saddened and upset because I used it only once, and then, just 30 minutes later, when I tried to use it again, it wouldn’t work. I can’t help but wonder if I’m the only one experiencing this unfortunate luck, but it has certainly happened to me.

Not very hearty but company has great warranty process
This has been a disappointing device. I only had it for about six months and only used it a handfull of times and it’s already broken and I’m pursuing a warranty claim. It’s fairly cheap-feeling plastic, especially for a device that costs more than $150, which they try to disguise by wrapping it in rubber (which actually makes it more difficult to handle with all the flaps. I had only charged it up maybe three times when the charging port just pushed into the device when I tried to plug in the cable that came with it (which has a weird proprietary tip btw, which was also annoying that you can’t use any micro-USB charger it has to be this weird one that came with it so make sure you don’t misplace that). For $150, it should have USB-C anyway, not the cheapest, weirdest micro-USB they could find in the wholesale discount bins.Couldn’t even really evaluate its effectiveness because of how quickly it fell apart. Not cool.[1/15/24 update] I’m updating to four stars because I made a warranty claim and Compex was really, really good about it. They immediately replaced it and it shipped quickly, so between the warranty claim and the replacement was only about a week. That’s really impressive and rare and greatly appreciated. So they stand behind their products.
