Works as intended, make sure to ease in
Okay, I am not sure what other reviewers are on about, deducting stars for it “hurting too much” or “not being as good as real acupuncture”. This is a relatively (compared to real acupuncture) cheap device that, if not being a tad uncomfortable, is probably not doing the job. And back to the cheap part.. probably needs to be a little more affordable.I can agree that it is fairly nonspecific with the spikes. They could have done a little better with placement of the spikes or maybe made some a little taller than others to really hit those pressure points. But it is heated, and you definitely feel it when laying down on it. As the instructions say, if you are new to this, please wear a shirt or put a light towel/cloth over it. It blunts it quite a bit.I really only find issue with the blue fabric that coats the heated part of the mat. Feels almost plasticky and cheap to me, but you don’t feel it when using this as intended so I suppose it is not really a big deal. Overall, maybe not as good as a real acupuncture session (why would you think it was?) and may be a bit painful, but using it actually seems to help with my upper back pain. Whether that be from distracting pain or what, I do not know.

Great first accupressure device
My wife and I love ComfyTemp’s products, but this one was a total first for us. We’ve not tried any other acupressure mats before this. So keep that in mind with my feedback.I love that this adds heat to the mix. But I’m still not sure what to make of the acupressure side of it. I tested it with my back on the mat, and I found it painful. That wasn’t unexpected. But being new to acupressure, I didn’t find it particularly pleasant. However, I then gave it to my wife to test. She has frequent foot pain, so she used it as an acupressure foot mat instead. And she loved it. It did hurt a bit, but in a “good pain” way as she put it. She also liked the heat on her feet.In general, this seems well-made. It has a removable cover which is nice for cleaning. The heat function has an auto-shutoff to keep it safe. And it’s large, so you can certainly treat smaller surfaces and larger ones (like an entire back) with one device.

Ok, but could have been better if focused more specifically on pressure points
Pretty much as you’d expect, which is a decent size warm pad with some generalized, non-specific points. It would have been nicer to show an outline of a back for placement purposes and have the spikes be focused by location and size for actual pressure points on a back. But as it stands, they’re just short non-specific points that generally just poke your back. It’s fine for general stimulation, but doesn’t really do anything special above and beyond a normal heating pad to reduce soreness.A good idea, but not ideally implemented.

This pad really helps relax my body.
Comfytemp heated acupressure mat is a great product. The acupuncture points are just right, and it heats up well. It is a really good size at 17 x 33,, covers a good area. The cord is a good length, it is easy to use . The heating control has 3 settings, and automatic shut off. I have used sitting and laying down and both positions feel great. I am very pleased with this acupuncture heated mat, the price seems a tad high at 49.99, but worth it.

Good dual-feature mat
I have another acupressure mat that doesn’t heat like this one by Comfytemp, as well as multiple flat heating pads, and I’m still on the fence about the combination of the two features. Normally, I’d think of this as a space-saving thing, since it can do the work of both devices, either separately or in tandem. But while I find adding heat to the acupressure experience is great, adding spikes to the heating pad experience isn’t so nice. It is a well-made device, as far as I can tell, and I’ve generally had good experience with Comfytemp products in the past. So, overall, I’d recommend it if you want to try a combined gadget, but if you’re happy using separate devices and already own some, this might just be one more thing to store.

Feels very soothing!
I was not sure how much I would actually use this when it arrived, but it has become one of those things I reach for anytime my back feels tight or sore. The size is generous and covers most of my back when I lie on it, and the combination of heat with the pressure points feels very relaxing. The spikes look intense at first, but once you settle in it becomes a deep, comforting sensation rather than anything painful.I usually use it at the end of the day after being on my feet or sitting too long, and it does a good job of helping my muscles loosen up. The heat warms evenly and gets plenty warm without feeling unsafe, and the controls are simple to use. It feels well made and sturdy enough to hold up to regular use. For me this has been a great way to unwind and ease everyday back soreness at home, and it feels like a good value for what it offers.

Nice mat with auto-off feature.
The Comfytemp Acupressure is great if you can handle the “pressure”. Pun intended. This mat is a large 17″x33″ heated acupressure mat with 276 acupressure nodes, plus 3 heat levels and a 2-hour auto-off feature.PROS:- Feels great on the feet. That’s where I get the most enjoyment out of it.- Heat has 3 levels and it actually gets warm enough to be useful. I prefer the medium and high setting.- Big mat size gives you good coverage to lay on the mat if you wish.- The 2-hour safety feature is appreciated.CONS:- The pressure spikes can be uncomfortable on the back. I may be too heavy for back use.- If you’re sensitive, you’ll probably want to follow the listing’s suggestion and start with light clothing or cloth over the mat.Overall, I like the mat and will keep using it, but mainly for my feet.
