Very useful for large fermentation projects
I bought this large 30kg/66lb digital kitchen scale mainly for baking and big-batch cooking, but it has ended up being incredibly useful for my fermentation projects too. After using it for everything from sourdough to giant jars of pickles, tapache, cheong, kraut, and kimchi, I feel good giving it a solid 4 stars. The first thing you notice is the size and sturdiness. The stainless steel top is wide and stable enough to hold hefty bowls, bannetons, or big fermentation crocks without wobbling. A lot of smaller kitchen scales max out way too early, but this one handles heavy glass jars and water-filled brining vessels with no problem. Being able to weigh a whole batch at once instead of doing awkward math with multiple containers has been a game changer. The 30kg capacity is honestly more than I thought I’d ever need, but once you start fermenting in large quantities, you realize how handy it is. It easily supports filled gallon fermentation jars plus whatever giant mixing bowl I’m working with. And the LCD display is bright and easy to read even when a giant bowl is partly hanging over the edge. That is vastly different from the one I’m replacing.Accuracy-wise, it’s solid for medium and large amounts and also was accurate for measuring grams of salt for lacto-ferments. It also tares and updates quickly and doesn’t lag.I appreciate that it comes with an adapter so I can leave it plugged in during long food-prep days. It still works on batteries if you want it portable, but having a plug means it never dies halfway through weighing a mixing bowl full of shredded cabbage. And trust me, that’s a real blessing. The price computing feature is definitely geared more toward people actually selling goods, but it doesn’t hurt anything being there. I mostly ignore it and stick to the basic weighing functions. It’s definitely built more like a commercial scale than a standard home model. Now for the downsides: this thing is big, and you’ll need real counter or storage space for it. If you have a small kitchen, expect to shuffle things around. The folded stainless surface is easy to clean, though, so even if it lives out on the counter, it doesn’t look messy. Also, the buttons have that slightly old-school feel… They work fine but don’t have the modern touchpad sleekness. The display has a monochrome monitor vibe, which fits with the basic old-school look.Overall, this is a great heavy-duty scale for anyone who does fermentation, bulk cooking, baking, or meal prep. It’s sturdy, reliable, easy to clean, and perfect for weighing large batches and full jars. A couple of minor quirks keep it from being perfect, but it’s incredibly practical and has already earned its spot in my kitchen.A solid 4 stars from me.

Heavy Duty Weighing Machine
I finally picked up this scale after my wife grew tired of me borrowing her kitchen scale for various projects in my basement workroom. So far, it has been a great addition. What I Like:High capacity: The 66‑pound limit is more than I typically need, but it’s great having the option to weigh heavier items when necessary.Backlit display: The green backlight is easy to read in dim environments. I personally would have preferred amber or red for photographic darkroom work, but that’s a niche use case.Flexible power options: It runs on AA batteries (included) or via USB cable. There’s no wall adapter, but I appreciate having both power choices.Unit cost function: After entering a cost‑per‑unit value, the scale can calculate material cost automatically. It’s handy for project planning—like weighing a spool of 3D‑printing filament before and after a print to determine the exact material cost.Large weighing pan: The oversized platform makes it easy to stack or position bulky items. What I Don’t Like:Limited precision: It’s accurate to the gram, which is fine for most tasks, but you’ll need a more precise scale if you require tenths of a gram.Slight positional variation: The large pan is useful, but weight readings can shift by about a gram depending on where the item is placed.Overall:This is a solid, versatile scale and an excellent value for the durability and features it offers.

works well
The kitchen scale works great. It connects well and is easy to use. The battery time is sufficient and it’s made of good quality. It’s easy to clean and to store away. It weights with accuracy. I would order again.

Larger capacity scale for my kitchen
I got this scale mainly for weighing out larger capacities of meat as I make homemade sausage and brats. I have a digital scale, but its limited to 11 lbs. This scale arrived and all works great. It comes with its own weighing platform made of stainless steel, but of course you can remove that and use your own tray/plate/pan or whatever, and the scale will ‘zero’ out for use. It also came with batteries to start out, so that was nice. It was easy to set up and use and you can change increments between metric or pounds/ounces. The only thing I would have liked to see was when using lbs and ounces that it read as such. Instead, you can get lbs with the remainder in a fraction of 1-10. For example if something weighs out at 4 lbs and 8 oz’s, it will read 4.5 lbs. Or, you can just get a total number of ounces which in this case would be 72 ounces. So, for us used to the lbs/oz system you have to do a little bit of math. Not too big of a deal. I tried the price calculator which I probably won’t use, but it seemed pretty straightforward to put in a price per unit and get the total price. I’m sure the scale is accurate, but I didn’t have anything certified to check it, but just used a simple athletic hand weight of 3 lbs. and it came out very close, and the weight itself I’m sure was off a bit. Overall, this is a great kitchen scale for the price and has the capacity up to 66 lbs. for those heavier items.
