Analog dial is more attractive than practical
The most important thing about a scale is its consistency, so you can follow trends in your weight. This scale seems mostly consistent, although I have had it read an anomalous +3 pounds higher at one point. (Waiting a few minutes and trying again came back to the expected reading.) Note that if you re-weigh within a couple minutes then it will always give you the previous reading, so you need to wait several minutes before trying again.The second most important thing about a scale is the accuracy. I don’t have a mechanical beam scale to compare against, but this generally measures within a few tenths of a pound above or below my other scale so it’s probably reasonably accurate.The large speedometer-looking analog readout is interesting if you’re a car enthusiast, although its practical use is questionable. Unfortunately, it’s hard to read the analog results because the numbers are close together, so you just get a ballpark figure. It’s even worse with the kilogram reading since the intervals are even smaller and the needle width spans more than two KG. So the analog readout is strictly for visual appeal, not practical use. And it can also get in the way of your feet if you have long feet or aren’t standing far enough back on the scale.There is also an alarm feature that’s intended to alert you to take your weight at the same time each day; but there isn’t actually a clock on scale, so the alarm just goes off 24 hours from when you enable it.Overall, this scale is fine if you find the style attractive. The large dial is visually appealing but of limited practical use.
