Compact and Handy, With a Small Learning Curve
I’ve been using this DailyBody 3-in-1 sound machine as a bedside clock, and overall I like it quite a bit. It’s smaller than I expected, which actually worked out well since it doesn’t crowd my nightstand at all. It feels lightweight but not flimsy, and it’s easy to move around or pack up if you want to use it while traveling.The sound options are plentiful. There are lots of familiar white noise and nature-style sounds, and the volume range is wide enough that it works whether you want something very soft or a bit louder. I’ve mostly used the rain and white noise sounds at night, and they loop smoothly without any obvious breaks. The sleep timer is handy, and I appreciate that it remembers your last settings so you don’t have to reprogram it every night.The alarm features are solid. I really like that the alarm starts quietly and gradually gets louder instead of blasting you awake. Having dual alarms is useful too, especially if you have different schedules during the week. The night light is a nice bonus, with plenty of color choices and adjustable brightness, and it can be turned off completely if you prefer a dark room.My main downside is the setup. It’s not very intuitive at first, and the buttons rely a lot on press vs press-and-hold actions, which took me some trial and error to get right. Once it’s set up, it’s fine, but I’d definitely recommend keeping the manual nearby the first time.Overall, this is a compact, multi-function clock that does a lot in a small space. It works well once you get past the learning curve, and for everyday sleep and wake-up use, it’s been reliable and convenient.

Wonderfully compact 3 in 1 machine.
So far, I really like this 3-in-1 sound machine. I have another multipurpose sound machine from a different brand and, when comparing the two, I have to say that there are some neat features to this one versus my other one.My set came complete with everything needed to make this clock/sound machine work. Included were the instructions, the sound machine, a cord, and a wall adapter. I am really grateful this set came with the power brick/wall adapter. Too many electronic items come with a cord and leave the rest up to the user. Having to track down a 5-volt, 1 or 2-amp adapter is very annoying and hard to do where I live. Anything that comes with its own wall adapter is already off to a great start in my book.I really like the option for timers on the sounds. My old sound machine only has a 3 hour and a continuous setting. The sounds on this machine can play for 1, 2, or 3 hours, or they can be left on continuously depending on what I choose.The sounds are varied but typical for these types of noise machines. In fact, some seem identical to the sound files on my other brand’s sound machine. There are the usual water/stream sounds, rain/storm sounds, nature sounds, campfire sounds, train sounds, white and pink noise examples, piano-sounding music, violin-sounding music, a heartbeat effect, etc. I personally like the crackling fire and rain ones for sleeping. There are 30 sounds total to choose from.The clock function has several advantages over my old sound machine. This machine’s clock/alarm can function when it is not plugged into the wall. Once the alarm is set, as long as the internal battery has power, the clock will keep time and the alarm will go off. This is really necessary for me during the springtime stormy season. My old clock only has a battery to help to keep time/the settings options during a power loss. It won’t show the time and the alarm will not work unless the clock is powered by a wall outlet. This ability only works for the alarm and time-keeping functions; the sound machine/night light only function when plugged in.Another advantage of this clock versus the one on my other sound machine is that the alarm on this one starts out quiet and gets louder as it goes. There are also 15 alarm sounds to choose from. Personally, I think it’s much less startling to wake up to the alarm of my choice slowly building up to full volume, versus my other brand’s alarm clock that just starts off at full blast. There is also an option to have two different alarms to choose from with this clock.The display on this clock has an extra bonus; it also shows the day of the week as well as the time. This way I can see when I wake up in a state of confusion that it’s Saturday and the kids don’t need to be up for school. My other machine’s display just shows the time only. This has led to some confusion on my part during very groggy early mornings.The night light is a nice touch that my other sound machine doesn’t have. It’s got the standard RGB colors as well as a bunch of other color options like cyan, fuchsia, yellow, etc. The brightness can be controlled for the light, and I can decide whether it comes on with the alarm and sleep sounds. While it’s nice to be able to pick a color, I do wish it had come with an option for it to just scroll through the colors instead of having to just pick one.Size-wise, this is a nice and compact device. I think it’s great for tiny or cramped spaces as it won’t clutter up limited tabletop storage. It’s also very portable and lightweight. It’s very easy for me to pack up and take on trips.My biggest complaint is the directions/design of the button functionality. I had a harder time getting some things to work for some reason. There is the now common issue of the directions heavily relying on pressing a button to do one thing and pressing and holding the button to do another thing. I am not sure if I am just not holding for as long as I think I am, but some stuff doesn’t want to set or change easily, like the alarms.Overall, I am really happy with this sound machine/alarm clock/night light. It’s got some very cool features that I didn’t know my older one was missing.

I have this alarm clock/sound machine in my home office, but it would work well in a bedroom, nursery, school, or other spaces. It’s lightweight and compact with a clean, minimalist design that doesn’t take up much space.Functionality is strong, as there are a lot of features packed in. Most of them are intuitive, but you’ll definitely want to read the included user manual to figure everything out. The display is bright and easy to see. I almost always have it plugged in, so I can’t speak to battery life.For what you get: compact design, multiple functions, clear display, and a night light, I think it’s a fair value. It’s lightweight and easy to move, but still feels solid on a desk or nightstand. Overall, it’s a useful little clock with more features than you expect for the price.
