Our daughter always wants a dog to sleep with her at night so this was a great find for her to use at night! She has used it almost every night and loves how soft and warm it is. It is also a very cute animal design! The only downside is it is a bit hard for her to get the inside pack out to get it in the microwave.

I used to think that the pinnacle of human invention was maybe the wheel, or perhaps the internet. I was wrong. It’s this 2lb, 19-inch, microwaveable capybara.I bought this little guy (I named him Sir Reginald Fluffington III) for my perpetually sore lower back, a consequence of years of poor posture and an unhealthy reliance on slouching. The product description promised “moist warmth” and a “soothing lavender scent.” It delivered on both, and so much more.First off, microwaving a capybara feels inherently wrong, but the manufacturers assured me it’s “safe use,” so who am I to argue with science? Sixty seconds in the oven, and Sir Reginald emerges a cozy, slightly damp-smelling hero. He stayed warm for a solid 30 minutes, which is 29 minutes longer than my ex-boyfriend ever held my hand.He’s flat-designed, which I initially thought was a manufacturing oversight, but apparently gives him “flexibility.” This means he can perfectly wrap around my neck, across my stomach for those uneasy days, or just sit there looking adorable and judging my life choices.The “highly recommended by physical therapists” claim had me skeptical, but honestly, my back pain has significantly decreased. It’s either the moist heat promoting blood circulation or the sheer emotional support of hugging a warm, weighted rodent. I’m leaning towards the latter. He provides a “sense of security,” which I never realized I was missing in my pain relief regimen.I haven’t frozen him yet because I can’t bear the thought of Sir Reginald being cold, but it’s nice to know he has a dark, icy side for “sprains, bruises & swelling.”In short, if you need stress relief, pain relief, or just a cute, warm, 2lb capybara friend who smells faintly of a spa, this is the best purchase you will ever make. Goodbye traditional heating pads, hello my new health companion and emotional rock. 5/5 stars, would microwave again.

The cutest, softest little heat therapy device you’re ever going to find!
When I saw this little guy, I just knew we had to have him! We’re big fans of the Bed Buddy style of heating pads in this house, and not only does this Capybara fit in nicely with our existing collection, it easily earns and lives up to the “bed buddy” name of the other products’ brand name 😉 !It’s a super soft and ridiculously cute, weighted plushy, with a removable pouch that microwaves for heat therapy and pain relief. Works just as well as any of the other styles of microwavable heat therapy items I own, and while it would be an adorable stuffed toy on it’s own, the pain relieving heat feature really makes it a winner! The weighted aspect of it comes in the form of both the removable heat pouch, as well as weights (likely glass beads) in the paws / feet.Build quality seems really good… no stray threading or loose stitches, and no obvious shedding after a week of use. The zipper for the pouch opens and closes freely and with ease, and doesn’t “catch” the fur / fabric when removing or inserting the heat bag. If the Bed Buddy style of heat therapy works for you, then this little guy will also do the job well! As mentioned in the description, this is perfect for abdominal cramps, sore legs, or on the back of the neck.The heating pouch is filled with flax seed, and is unscented. Although no paper instructions are included, the tag on the removable pouch does have heating times listed, depending of the wattage of your microwave. Although listed as a heating device, this could just as easily be used for cold therapy, using either the included pouch or your own cold / ice pack.An instant favorite in our household, and although this was a Vine item, we would have easily paid for this little guy without a second thought!
